Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or location entered in a search box is sent directly to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its result. We do not keep or log those search terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or other direct message may be retained long enough to answer and manage the exchange. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, servers may collect basic technical and usage details:
- Your device's IP address
- Browser name and version
- Operating system and device category
- Visited pages and approximate time spent
- Referring website, when available
- Date and time information for page requests
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files that can show how visitors move through the website, including popular pages and common exit points. Analytics providers help combine that activity into traffic reports. A browser can block cookies, though doing so may change how some features work.
What We Do With This Data
- Operating, securing, and improving page performance
- Routing a search query to the selected partner tool
- Measuring which resources visitors use
- Diagnosing errors and service problems
- Delivering advertising that may reflect browsing interests
No Criminal-Record Data on File
We do not maintain, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal records. The published material explains how to reach the Randolph County Sheriff, the Randolph Circuit Clerk through the Missouri Courts directory, the Missouri State Highway Patrol Central Repository, and the Missouri Sex Offender Registry. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not turned into a consumer report or a file about another person.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Their own privacy terms, retention rules, and sharing practices govern information submitted through those tools. Review the provider's policy before entering a query because we do not control its processing.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to sheriff, court, state agency, legal aid, or outside search websites. Once a visitor follows one, the destination's privacy policy applies. Read those terms before supplying personal information.
Advertising providers may use their own systems to follow activity across websites and select targeted ads.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal information is not sold. It may be disclosed to:
- A search partner chosen to process a submitted query
- Analytics providers measuring traffic and reliability
- Advertising networks serving content on the pages
- A court, law-enforcement agency, or government body acting under valid legal process
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable security practices are used to protect collected data. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so we cannot promise that an incident will never occur.
Users Under 18
The website is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If information from a minor is identified, a deletion request may be made.
Your Data Rights
Rights can vary with the law that applies to a visitor. Missouri's Sunshine Law, Chapter 610 governs public-government records, while section 43.540, RSMo controls state criminal-history dissemination and fees. Those laws do not turn this private website into a government records custodian. Subject to applicable law, a visitor may:
- Request access to personal data we hold
- Ask that inaccurate personal data be corrected
- Seek deletion where the law permits it
- Object to or opt out of certain processing where available
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised. A new version becomes available here with its updated effective date, so visitors should review it periodically.
